James Baratta is a graduate of the Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College where he obtained a Bachelor's of Arts (B.A.) in Journalism, also studying sociology during his tenure. He is currently a reporter at MandateWire (MandateWire.com) from the Financial Times where he covers institutional investment.

His work has been published in Politico, Fairness & Accuracy In Reporting (FAIR), Truthout and The Progressive, among others.

James is interested in how different systems and power structures interact with one another. He is also a life-long member of the Alpha Kappa Delta (AKD) International Honor Society.
